True lies

               


Lies turn out to be  true

carefully edited 

Trials are long overdue

justice and peace wept


Food some do have

clothing enough

Lyrics this chef will serve

appetising dish and a half


The back door may be

the one deemed front

New order law money 

old Africa the convict


Fools bitten twice

cleverer yet shy to proclaim 

Ethics plus broken vows

thin line of sweet joy and pain


Smiles can bear tears

things this world has to offer

Hidden within false acts

pleasure that’s somehow torture.
